This shaving accessory combines traditional craftsmanship with selected materials for a stylish wet shave. Pure badger hair or the exclusive silvertip quality, which is characterised by a dark colouring with characteristic shimmering silver tips, is predominantly used as trimming. These natural hairs have the ability to store water excellently, allowing shaving foam, soap or gel to be whipped up with particularly fine pores and creaminess. The carefully crafted handles, which are made from either heavily grained olive wood, fine burl wood or smooth acrylic, ensure an appealing look and feel. A curved shape with a slight thickening in the centre facilitates safe handling during daily shaving preparation. A shiny metal ring often forms a stable transition between the handle and the tightly bound brush head. Due to the soft structure of the bristles, the lather can be applied very gently, which enables gentle preparation of the beard hairs. To preserve the quality of these unique items, which are usually handmade in Solingen or Italy, in the long term, the brush should be rinsed thoroughly with clear water after each use and dried hanging.

Hold the shaving brush under warm water for a moment and shake it briefly. Excess water is removed. Let the brush circle over the soap without applying pressure until the desired amount of lather has formed to apply it.

The classic shaving brush has a conical head with badger hair. For particularly valuable shaving brushes, only the white hair of the badger is used. Modern shaving brushes have the classic shape, but are also available with synthetic hair.

After shaving, the shaving brush is hung upside down in a holder so that it can drain and dry, as standing water would damage it.
