The 9.7 cm long Lancet tweezers are forged from high-quality stainless steel. The steel used is hardened. The ends are welded. A nickel coating and subsequent polishing make the instrument robust and resistant to scratches. The tips of the tweezers are straight and slightly angled. As the tips lie precisely on top of each other when closing, even the finest hairs and splinters can be pulled out easily.
