The clay comes from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Lava clay has a long tradition as a cleanser for skin and hair. It was already used in ancient times. Excellent for face, hair, scalp and body hygiene and nourishment, is perfect for adding oils or moisturiser to if preferred but good for face head and body purely as it is. My wife and I swear by it and we are both retired seniors who have been using it for many years. Best cleansing and conditioning all-over skin product ever!
