Launched in 2012, Gao Eau de Parfum is a fragrance from the Oud Stars Collection by XERJOFF. In this series, the Italian luxury label celebrates the art of traditional Arabian fragrance artists. Thousands of years ago, they created rare and precious fragrances that almost always had oud at their centre. XERJOFF not only took this art as a model, but also named each fragrance from the Oud Stars Collection after the historical text "The Travels of Ibn Battuta". The Gao fragrance was named after a town in Mali and presents the dark and mysterious side of oud. As is so often the case with XERJOFF, the fragrance is for men and women and has a woody and spicy presence.
Harmonious, expressive and not a soft touch
The fragrances from the Oud Stars Collection are olfactory works of art that even win over people who don't actually like oud. The top note of the Gao fragrance opens with Persian and Spanish saffron. It continues with juniper, gurjun balsam, cedarwood and nagarmotha in the heart note. Finally, the base brings together what belongs together. Amber and patchouli are the companions of Thai and Laotian oud.
