Warm fragrance for men with aromatic liquorice and soft woody accords
Characters is a fragrance line from Histoires de Parfums that is inspired by famous people from contemporary history and attempts to reflect their characteristics and styles through fragrances. Casanova is best known today as a notorious lover and bon vivant, but he was also a philosopher, doctor and musician. For Gérald Ghislain, who created the 1725 Casanova Eau de Parfum Spray, it was clear from the outset that it had to be a warm fragrance. Accordingly, he created a base of cosy sandalwood and cedarwood, which he combined with an accord of creamy, soft almonds. The heart notes of lavender are reminiscent of sultry summer days in France, while star anise adds a sparkling accent. The top note contains the seductive flavour of liquorice, which is enlivened by citrus fruits and grapefruit. A hint of vanilla rounds off this irresistible fragrance.

In order for men's perfume to really come into its own, it is always sprayed very sparingly and directly onto the skin. The chosen fragrance is quickly released through body heat. If you use a spray bottle, the distance should be around 20 cm. The fine spray mist is not rubbed off and dries on the skin. As the spray mist rises from the bottom upwards, the skin is always perfumed from the bottom upwards. Ideally, the body should be prepared with an odourless body lotion before perfuming. The fragrances in the men's perfume will cling to the lipids in the lotion, ensuring a longer-lasting fragrance experience.
