Yves Saint Laurent Y L'Elixir is a particularly refined and highly concentrated interpretation of the iconic Y fragrance line. This woody-spicy fougère composition was created by master perfumer Dominique Ropion as an expression of self-confidence. The fragrance opens with an elegant saffron accord that lends a distinctive, leathery-spicy facet. At the heart of the composition, an aromatic interplay of diva lavender, grown especially for Yves Saint Laurent in Provence, and fresh geranium from the Moroccan Ourika gardens unfolds. The base note creates a long-lasting and profound impression with an exciting duet of mystical incense and precious oud wood. The creation is encased in a bottle that reinterprets the well-known Yves Saint Laurent design. The glass, designed by Suzanne Dalton, captures the light in its translucent, metallic blue colour and reflects the character of the elixir.

In order for men's perfume to really come into its own, it is always sprayed very sparingly and directly onto the skin. The chosen fragrance is quickly released through body heat. If you use a spray bottle, the distance should be around 20 cm. The fine spray mist is not rubbed off and dries on the skin. As the spray mist rises from the bottom upwards, the skin is always perfumed from the bottom upwards. Ideally, the body should be prepared with an odourless body lotion before perfuming. The fragrances in the men's perfume will cling to the lipids in the lotion, ensuring a longer-lasting fragrance experience.
