The Botanical Repair Bond-Building Pre-Shampoo Treatment has a nourishing and protective effect. The application strengthens the hair structure and gives the hair more strength and suppleness. The treatment is particularly recommended for damaged hair. It has a pleasant scent of rose petals, ylang-ylang and spicy marjoram.

The Botanical Repair Bond-Building Pre-Shampoo Treatment is a gel-cream with a soft, luxurious texture. Its ingredients help to build new hair fibre bonds. This allows the hair to repair damage. The treatment also protects the hair from breakage, knotting during washing and friction. An important component of the care formula is cold-pressed sacha inchi oil. It locks moisture into the hair, keeps it supple and reduces split ends. Antioxidant vitamin E protects sensitive hair. Squalane improves the ability of the hair and scalp to retain moisture.

The recommended use of Aveda's treatment depends on how damaged the hair is. For more severe damage, it can be massaged into the hair before each wash to optimise the effect.

Repair shampoos are as easy to use as conventional shampoos, but make a big difference to damaged and stressed hair. Apply a hazelnut-sized amount of Repair Shampoo to wet hair and massage it thoroughly into the scalp and hair with your fingers until a velvety lather forms. Wash out the shampoo and repeat the application. After the second application, leave the repair shampoo on for a few minutes. Finally, rinse the product thoroughly from the hair with clear, lukewarm water. For optimum results, you should combine the repairing shampoo with a suitable repair conditioner from the selected manufacturer.
