Our mums are role models for many things, including beauty. Their good habits and advice have shaped our own views on beauty. That's why we asked our colleagues to tell us what beauty tips and advice their mums gave them.

“Drink plenty of water and use a face mask occasionally” - Thomas

Drinking plenty of water is obviously classic advice. But I also learned from my mum that it’s a good idea to give your skin than occasional moisture boost from the outside. I do that by using a face mask at least twice a month, or putting eye pads that I’ve cooled in the fridge overnight under my eyes in the morning.

I’m so grateful to my mum for everything she's taught me. Some of the best beauty advice she ever gave me was on styling my hair, whether I was into curls, braids or ponytails. Thanks to her, my must-haves include mousse, heat protection spray and a liquid hairspray!

Thanks to my mum, I learned how important it is to apply cream regularly and take care of your skin. Moisturising face cream in the morning, a rich body lotion after bathing and applying sun cream every day are all an integral part of my beauty routine. And I’m passing that same advice on to my son, especially now that the sun is getting stronger again.
