The Goldwell Colorance Cover Plus semi-permanent hair colour has been specially formulated to provide enhanced grey coverage of up to 75 per cent. The focus is on natural colour depth and multi-dimensional highlights, which can give the hair a vibrant and fresh appearance. It is particularly suitable for heavily bleached or highlighted hair, helping to restore the original look through darker highlights – known as ‘lowlights’ – without the need for separate pre-colouring. The formulation in the distinctive blue tube is completely ammonia-free and utilises IntraLipid technology instead. This process is designed to balance the lipid levels within the hair, which can contribute to improved hair texture and a smoother structure. The tint can also intensify the hair’s reflection of light, resulting in increased shine. For correct application, the colour paste is mixed with the accompanying Colorance Cover Plus Developer Lotion in a 2:1 ratio. When applied to dry hair, the processing time is 30 minutes, after which the product is thoroughly rinsed out. A slow, even fading of the colour without any undesirable changes in shade ensures a long-lasting, attractive result.

Before applying a hair tint, moisten your hair and then lightly towel-dry it. Then put on the gloves that come with the tint and apply the paste to your fingers. The hair colour is then worked in from the roots to the ends. You can spread the colour through your hair with your fingers or with a comb. The result is more even if the colour is distributed with a comb. The colour remains in the hair for around 20 to 30 minutes to achieve the desired result. The hair is then rinsed until clear water can be seen. After tinting, the hair is not washed for 24 to 48 hours.
