The Ambre Gris Eau Parfumée Cologne Spray by Alyssa Ashley presents a multi-faceted olfactory interpretation of the rare amber fragrance. Launched in 2012, this composition opens with a fresh combination of Sicilian lemon and Calabrian bergamot, which is given an interesting dynamic by the subtle spiciness of pink pepper. As the fragrance develops, a floral heart unfolds, focusing on the elegance of Bulgarian rose with notes of Indian jasmine. The fragrance is given a warm and lasting depth by its complex base note, which decisively characterises the fragrance. Here, the eponymous ambergris accords combine harmoniously with labdanum and Virginia cedarwood. The multi-layered bouquet is rounded off with soft sandalwood and sweet Madagascar vanilla, which gives the eau parfumée a gentle yet present finish. The rectangular glass bottle emphasises the classic aesthetics of the brand with its shiny golden cap and clear black lettering.
