The Zao Mascara Refill Aloe Vera acts as a central component of an environmentally conscious cosmetics concept that focuses on reusability. Designed as a custom-fit refill for the corresponding case, this product actively supports the reduction of packaging materials. The composition of the mascara is based 100% on ingredients of natural origin and is both certified organic and vegan. Organic aloe vera gel plays an important role in the formula. The formula is complemented by carnauba wax and acacia gum, which can influence the structure of the paste and favour adhesion to the eyelashes. A specially designed brush is used for application, the shape of which enables precise coverage of the individual lashes. This can lead to clear definition and visually increased volume. The texture is designed to be evenly distributed and offers an intense colour effect in shades such as black or dark brown. The sleek, black design of the refill unit emphasises its functional character.

Regardless of the brush shape, mascara is applied from the lash line outwards in a slight zigzag motion. The lashes on the upper eyelid are brushed from bottom to top, the lashes on the lower eyelid from the lash line downwards.

Gel mascara is applied with a brush like normal mascara. It protects and cares for the lashes and can be used under coloured mascara.
