you leave solid ground as you travel along the Duda di Barbaria - the sea route that connected the Venetian Republic with the sunny regions of southern Spain and Morocco. From here, traders brought valuable raw materials such as turpentine resin and Indian sandalwood or various flowers and herbs to Venice - where they were combined by experienced perfumers to create sophisticated fragrances.
